Practical questions

What is tofu cat litter made of?

Tofu cat litter is usually made from soybean fiber (soy pulp), a natural by-product of tofu or soy milk production. It’s plant-based, biodegradable, and free from harsh chemicals.

Does tofu cat litter really clump well?

Yes. Tofu litter forms fast, firm clumps when it absorbs liquid. The clumps are much lighter and easier to scoop than clay litter, and they don’t stick as much to the litter box.

Can I flush tofu cat litter down the toilet?

Most tofu litters are flushable in small amounts, but you should:

  • Flush only one small clump at a time

  • Check your local plumbing rules

  • Avoid flushing if you have older pipes

When in doubt, composting or trash disposal is safer.

How well does tofu cat litter control odour?

It controls odour naturally, without perfumes. Soy fibers absorb moisture quickly, which helps reduce ammonia smells.
